Just how screwed are we?

Are we heading or more like Brave New World or 1984, both dystopia function completely different. Or is it combination of both.

Brave New World:
Addiction to drugs.
No one born, everyone cloned.
No marriage.
No love
Conditioning that begins at youth.
Families considered wrong, and outdated, and those who choose to only sleep with one person, is ostracised and thrown in Reservations.

1984:
Very authoritarian
Dissent is rooted out and crushed.
Watched every single minute.
Never ending wars.
Rampant jingoism.
Control of all media.

We help the multi-nationals
when they cry out protect us.
The locals scream and shout a bit,
but we don?t let that affect us.
We?re here to lend a helping hand
in case they don?t elect us.
How dare they buy our products
yet still they don?t respect us.
